Paid Time Off
At SPARC, we recognize that while you work hard, you also have commitments and interests outside of work. Our Paid Time Off (PTO) program gives you the flexibility to balance your work and personal life and to take time off when you need it.
Each year, full-time employees will receive a number of PTO days, which are yours to use for any purpose, whether for a personal appointment or to take vacation. With PTO, you’ll receive a bank of time each year with a specified number of days available to use that accrue throughout the year. You do not need to designate the time as a personal day or vacation day when requesting it.
Sick Time
Even the most health-conscious individuals can get sick or need to take a day for their overall mental health and well-being. SPARC provides you the time to rest, de-stress, and/or seek necessary treatment. Paid sick days are offered to regular full-time employees. Please refer to the employee handbook for details and more information.
If employees need more sick time, they can apply for short-term disability (STD). To learn more about our STD policy, visit the Short-Term Disability page.
All Other Time Off
From time to time, you may need to take time off for other reasons. SPARC allows time off for:
- Bereavement
- Jury Duty
- Company Leave
Corporate employees can also take additional time off each year for company non-observed holidays. This policy allows you to designate two (2) holidays per year on which the company doesn’t automatically close, such as religious or other national holidays.
